Get Over ItA Poem by Vishal SinghRealization after a heartbreak .The most important thing is to understand the nature of people. Her voice kept calling out, He dropped down the phone, Tears dried up in the eyes, Raindrops silenced his moan, Wet was his heart, dry was his
skin, Noise on the street, silence
within, Through the empty streets he
walked, Not knowing where to they led, He bore no cut no bruises yet, Through every f**k’n breath he
bled, About time, lessons that he
learnt, Taught him to fake a smile
though, To people who cared to glance at
him, As he walked the path, never did
he know, He crossed a park, went pass a
lake, Passed by a bridge, till his feet
did ache, There was a house, the door had
steps, Cold as he was, cold his heart in
the rain, Sat quietly down, to give a break
to his pain, Footsteps approached, came to a
halt, He looked up, and asked, “what
was my fault?”, She said something, he did seem
to hear, But the reply he made, shed her tear, “Do I know you, do you know
her?”, “Oh no, you don’t, nor do I!” Laughed and he walked away, Not knowing, to where the street
headed, She stood there, near her
doorway, The glow on her face faded. Much did he learn, about fake
people though, To himself he told, “Hey, let’s
take a break!”, And there he goes, the smile on
his face, No, this time not a fake. © 2018 Vishal SinghAuthor's Note
