Unbroken HeartA Poem by Vishal SinghStay happy no matter how much you get hurt, after all life is one, why live it for someone elseI ran, ran as fast as I could, Was she waiting, oh guess she would, But it was late, and she had to leave, Still I ran, coz she would wait, I did believe. I saw the cafe, my eyes searched for you, A lump in my throat, the closer I drew, The table on the corner, our meeting place, But nowhere could, I see your face. Still I waited, waited for an hour almost, Ordered a plate of your favorite toast, Hoping you would come, and like always we shall share, But that day I guess, you did not care. The waiter asks, sir wont ma’am come, My eyes looked up, and lips kept mum, The toast got cold, so did my heart, The warm wind, into my mind, did few lessons impart. The heart is yours, make it beat for you, Love yourself, coz you are worthy too, Don’t let your eyes weep, for they let you see, A world more beautiful, than she ever could be. © 2018 Vishal SinghAuthor's Note
