that's when i knew

that's when i knew

A Poem by Hannah Berry

and i noticed my palms

start to sweat and my face

heat up-

even though it was

relatively

chilly outside.

my endless and

troublesome thoughts

came to an abrupt halt,

and it was

the strangest sensation i had

ever come to

know.

the quiet was so rich, so

pure and

that’s when i knew;

knew that you could be something-

someone- special,

you could be the calm in

my storm

because never before had

my heart beaten in my

throat

nor my stomach flip upside

down and twist into tight little knots

that sent vibrations of warm chills

down my spine,

and never before had my knees threatened to collapse

involuntarily

then before i heard my name escape

from your sweet

lips,

and saw your warm breath fade away

into the cold bitter night,

holding my battered heart

in its midst.

and that’s when i knew.

sometimes life catches up to you without you even realising, sometimes it's sucks, sometimes it's amazing. Passion is the density of love and you my friend are clearly extremely passionate! The first thing is recognising how you feel but your choices depict who you are and who you will become so do what you believe is right, fear is natural, you are only human, it's okay to be selfish every once in a while :) Just remember that you are not alone :D Beautifully written, i thoroughly enjoyed this so thank you :)
