Summer Love

Summer Love

A Poem by Hannah Berry

and when the sun fades away

and the warm breeze dies down

when the chill paralyzes your lovely bones

and the grey skies pierce your heart

will you remember me?

and when the trees shed their clothes

and stiffen, losing life

when those we love begin hiding behind

frozen window panes and

ironically pastel curtains

will you remember me?

will you remember the days of magnificent, powerful blue waves

and the sun kissing the moon as they trade places to watch over us,

and help us love?

or will everything fade away when it’s time for the earth to change?

will we move along

and will our hearts turn cold, like the

frosty months to come

will you remember me?

will you remember us?
