Moon and StarsA Poem by AilaI wrote this for my best friend :)
l'd give you the moon and stars
All of me and all of you, like a supernova We're written in the stars, reflected by the moon Light is still not brighter than the color of us Once in a lifetime, I hope it lasts forever But if it doesn't I'll be fine, knowing I'll never be the same Because the moon and stars are still friends Two years ago the universe shook And something new was born Remember the fire alarm? The computer lab? So small compared to us So small compared to the moon and stars Send me every song that makes you feel something And show me every poem that you spent hours working on I'll breathe in every song And drink up every poem And I could go on and on And I will I, the stars, so caught up in the little things A greenhouse princess A wayward poet I, the stars, found you And I'm not so wayward anymore You, the moon, so many kinds of beauty A garden fairy A vibrant artist You, the moon, found me And I'm better because of it all One day we'll run away and you'll be looking at the moon And be looking at you One day we'll forget all about this town except that it's where we met And the stars will smile at you And if could, I'd give you the moon and stars l'd give you the moon and stars All of me and all of you, like a supernova We're written in the stars, reflected by the moon Light is still not brighter than the color of us Once in a lifetime, I hope it lasts forever But if it doesn't I'll be fine, knowing I'll never be the same Because the moon and stars are still friends And so will we Forever be More celestial than the moon and stars © 2024 Aila |
