Words Left Unspoken (Her Words)

These are my private thoughts

The words I was afraid to say

When you were there with me

As we laughed and caught up on times

So much has changed in our lifes

But my feelings for you have not

Quite strange they have only seem

To have gotten stronger over time

When I left I was spoken for

And you were not

We always passed one another

And by our looks

There were words unspoken

But thoughts that ran wild

True we knew of the other

But our thoughts

Were kept to ourselves

And left unspoken

Now that time has passed

How does one play out these unspoken words

Does the other still feel the same

As we stand here and talk

Are those thoughts still there

Do our minds still connect

You tell me

Do you fancy me

As you did once before

Or are these words

Or better yet these thoughts

Forever to be left unspoken
