Nightmares.A Poem by Simran Kewlani
Nerve wrecking and heart breaking are these dreams,
Dragging her away from reality into a world of insanity, Holding her hostage tied under the tree, Waiting for lightening to strike her dream. Malice and hatred are evident in its fiery eyes, Hoping for tears and ear shattering screams. Scared of the dark and its red-eyed demons, She did not live, merely survived. Waking up to the blazing sun, She wiped her cheeks and spread a smile, Hoping for people to believe she's fine, She walked into reality still weary of the coming nights. © 2015 Simran KewlaniAuthor's Note
