Hidden Beneath The Flaws.A Poem by Simran Kewlani
Your eyes were blindfolded,
Your hands were tied, You were crying out for dear life. Your cheeks were tear- stained, Your lips were blood- stained, Yet again you were crying out for dear life. Your screams had gone unheard, Your soul had been unknown, But yet you were crying out for dear life. Your beauty was unseen, Your flaws were discovered, But, yet you were crying out for dear life. One fine day, the tears dried, There was visibility of tiredness in her eyes, But this time she didn't cry out for life. The smile then tried, Widened with pride, She then never cried for life. © 2014 Simran KewlaniAuthor's Note
