Tears And Smiles.A Poem by Simran Kewlani
I did not ask for these fears,
I did not laugh off the tears. Shrugging off the layers of sadness, Partaking the tremors of shakiness. A thin stretch of smile tried escaping, But the prison was too guarded, Only the sounds of weeping were released, To be loud and mighty enough to fight the smile. But then the smile broke out, Leaving behind the ruthless tears of sadness, Leaving behind it's fear of darkness. Leaving behind the cries of returning, But now the tears were to dry, Giving the smile it's second attempt to try.
