Love Or Hate?

Love Or Hate?

A Poem by Simran Kewlani
"

Both are strong feelings. You get to decide which overpowers your life.

"

Did you not promise to stay forever?

Even if the problems were bigger than the other,

She slit her wrist and faked a smile,

Miles apart she was from her mind,

She was too confused and sick of life,

She stepped into her grave,

With hatred running through her veins,

Her hands were out of control,

Her eyes saw red,

Before she knew what she did,

She already killed the love of her life.

It's true what they say. There's a very fine line between love, and hate. Sometimes, when loves turns sour and morphs into hatred, it forces us to hate ourselves, to a degree, wondering if we were the root of the failure. However, harboring hatred does no one any good, and can clearly lead to self-destruction, as it did here in your raw and powerful poem, Simran Kewlani...

for a moment i was wondering what to say..should i say wow or just say i found it interesting...just like your title..its both...suicide or killing someone is not the answer...ending a relationship is fine..it hurts a lot..but we have to find a way to make this life worth living.. i liked the emotions attached to your words..it moved me...thanks Simran for such a beautiful write up:)

a very tragic end...

there are some instances that we go with our impulses in the hights of our anger that we are blinded of what's wrong and right, then after we the wrong it too late to take it back.

The rhyming is pretty good, i like it. Great work!

Oh, love the deep meaning behind this... I think you portrayed the confusion and lack of connection between the mind and actions so wonderfully.. Great write, :)

Interesting words... not really being into hurting or harm in any way I am finding it hard to say that I 'like' this ... Personally I choose to only leave a positive imprint in this funny little ethnosphere that we have created... maybe perhaps even use the word SHE less and more adjectives ???
