That warrior.

That warrior.

A Poem by Simran Kewlani

Aren't  they  those diamonds that fell out of your twinkling eyes on a starry night,

Aren't they those arms that fought with the world like they were owned by one of the bravest knights,

Aren't they those lips that when spoke the world smiled with the longest smile,

Isn't it that body that once was maintained so well but now was the mess of this world,

Isn't she that warrior that once walked with so much pride but now seems to disappear,

Isn't that the same girl who once looked out for love but now completely hates it,

Isn't that name on the grave stone of the warrior who was feared of none other than death.

Another poem with strong content ... I like the feeling behind it very much.
Not sure if I like the repetition of Aren't and Isn't .. they distract me, they are also non-descriptive words to start off each line of a poem that is set out to startle the reader .. I think with a little twisting of the words you could perhaps drop them all together.

My favorite poem! The soldier expresses the life of him so gracefully and it brings out the emotion of sadness amazingly. Just awesome, I would say!

This has a nice twist to it, I agree that I wasn't expecting that ending! None the less I like where you took this poem, it seems well thought out with a nice flow and a neat form!

I do. A lot. The poems end up being better than the ones I actually work on. (:
This was very good Simran. Only thing I think the first line should not have the word "that". It should just be ." Aren't they those diamonds that fell out of your twinkling eyes on a starry night,". I think unless you wrote it this way.Otherwise most excellent :)
