I am Human

I am human, and I make mistakes.

Loving you was one of them.

I am human, and I hold myself responsible for all of my actions.

Unfortunately that leaves me holding myself responsible for your actions, aswell.

I am human, and for a brief moment I let myself slip.

Only to be slapped back into reality by the hand that I held close for over a year.

I am human, and to be honest I gave everything humanly possible to you.

I give everything to everyone without a second guess.

I am human, and as much as I hate to admit it, I will always long for understanding.

For someone to know me inside and out. I thought we had that. I was wrong.

I am human, and I looked past who you were to find who I thought you could be.

Because, you see, I yern to better the people around me.

To be apart of their overcoming obstacles, their happiness, their success.

I am human, and I believe that you learn from each relationship you are ever in.

I've learned that cheating is never okay, and neither is lying, from relationship one.

And now, I've learned, that you can share a mind, body, and soul with someone.

And they will rob you blind the moment they see fit, from relationship two.

Yes, two and only two thus far.

I am human, and though the odds can be against me I will always see the best in the people I surround myself with.

I am human, and this is my downfall.
