Leaves Floating On The PoolA Poem by simplisticwoman
They ride along and caress the side
There are a few floating together They go where they please I see a giant heart form As they ride the ripples of water They come together And they quickly disappear You can see underneath them All around them No one cares that they are there Except for the one that is looking They move along not caring where they go Free from law, rules, and entrapment They aren't bound by the box of society They stay as long as they can Unnoticed by the hurried man But if you'll stop and take a moment They speak to you as nothing else can But in a little while They will be swept away And maybe perhaps Thrown away By the hurried man But for a moment In my day They spoke to my human soul The leaves floating on the pool
