Through My Pain

Through My Pain

A Poem by simplisticwoman

Through my pain
I want to rise above
Rise above the ashes
And be molded into
Someone brand new

Through my pain
I want to see
Others become free
And be transformed
Into what they want to be

Through my pain
There must be a story
One that I can share
To help change
Someone in despair

Through my pain
I will rise above
Turn from sadness
And step into
The light of joy

When you are down
Don't focus on the pain
Let your life
Become more then misery
Don't lose your sanity

Lift your head up
Don't you give up
For you have
A story that may
Help someone in need

Don't hide away
And let the darkness
Consume who you are
Let your light shine bright
For all the world to see

Through my pain
I want others to see
That they are worth
All the pain and misery
That they have helped me

Mine has nearly consumed me at times, but the Lord has always blessed you with just the right words to lift me out of it and move beyond it. Thank you Sis, for all that you have helped me overcome. Without it, I would be completely lost to a world that could not care less about what I, we, have gone through. This is an incredibly good write and a very emotionally moving sentiment.

I never thought of my pain as a "blessing of compassion," that is such a beautiful way to look at someones pain. Thank you so very much.

To turn ones pain into a blessing of compassion for another in pain is no small thing. Well done.
