Learn to Breathe Again

Learn to Breathe Again

A Poem by simplisticwoman

As a child I use to hold my breath
And even as I became an adult
When I would get upset
Or something was scary to me

We are all in such a hurry these days
Running around to and fro
We don't ask how people are
And we couldn't care less about them

If we would just take a moment
And step back on the path we have chosen
And just breathe
Maybe then we could truly see

We could chose to see people again
We could chose to see ourselves again
We could chose to see love again
We could chose to see beauty again

People the way they were meant to be seen
as humanistic and with flaws throughout
Ourselves the way we were meant to be seen
as worthwhile and worth ones precious time
Love the way we were truly meant to love
with all that is in you and all consuming
Beauty the way it was meant to be seen
in the most simplistic little fragments of time

Learn to breathe again, so we can learn to live again!

Have to first realize that we are even holding our breath. Why? Are we expecting something terrible or something exciting? Is the fact that we don't know what is coming what we find so exillerating. Then we learn that there was no reason to be holding our breath and slowly learn to breath again, slowly we realize the antisepation was killing us. Nice one indeed Sis. Soft and gritty at the same time, like a warm wool blanket and a feather down comfortor...!

About
Simplistic...I don't want many things in my life, because I don't want them to crowd the fragile space in my mind...I only want in my mind the things that are going to make me a better woman...I enjoy.. more..
