Hesitation

Hesitation

A Poem by Nae Nae

I hurt him once at the peak of our love,
I snapped his heart in two.
He cried for days and barely ate,
And I let my life resume.

I love him still he loves me more,
but I dare not make a move.
If I broke his heart again,
It would surely break me too.

He pushes me to return to him,
Hesitantly, I pull in the other direction.
His are the arms I want around my waist,
Oh how badly I want his affection.

But his heart is not worth my own,
No it's worth just so much more.
I cannot be right near him,
I must keep myself afar.
