Wasted

It was supposed to be so great,
The time always to remember.
But everything turned around,
Now it's almost September.
My summer should have lasted,
Instead it wasted away.
I didn't get to do anything,
I didn't even get to partay.

I spent the summer single,
And alone without my friends.
I can't even remember what I did,
My time was torn to shreds.
My last three nights are here now,
Soon I'll be down to two.
The sun will come out tomorrow,
But that will be gone soon too.

My summer wasted away,
I won't get it back.
I just wanted to remember this one,
Was that so hard to ask?
