What Do I Do Next?

What Do I Do Next?

A Poem by Nae Nae

I'm sitting on a swing

As you push me back and forth.

I feel the wind blow threw my hair,

And I smile a great grin.

I lay here in your arms,

As I rest in my sanctuary.

I feel the warmth of your touch,

Relief runs down my face.

I lean my head upon your shoulder

As these tears fall down my face

You listen to all the sad things I say

You are there to hear my words.

Now I sit here on a rock,

At the edge of the sea.

I watch the sun slowly set

But you are not with me.

A single tear falls down my cheek

As I stare into the sea.

I regret the things that I've told to you

For I fear that you should know.

I sit alone forever more

With just you on my mind

Wishing that I never said the awful things

That made you leave my side.

Now NOTHING is the same ...

Ouch. The feelings of hurt and betrayal come through loud and clear. I can't comment on the form or meter of the piece as I'm not that fluent in those aspects of poetry.
