Lesson Learned

Lesson Learned

A Poem by Nae Nae

The words I heard, that hurt so bad.

That I have tried to forget, but I just can’t.

They cut me deep, and pierced my heart.

“You’ll never be anything,” “I’m everything that you aren’t.”

Just some things that I’ve been told,

But it isn’t their fault that their hearts are so cold.

They were never taught what’s right,

They don’t know their words hurt that much.

But I’ll never escape, and I’ve learned all they haven’t,

And the only way is death, to escape all the pain.

So I’ll just hold it in, and then never show,

There’s a lesson learned, and now I know.
