Little Bird, Tell Me...

Little Bird, Tell Me...

A Poem by Dara[DRAMATIC]
"

Written on the computer on the spot for a group I'm in. ^^

"

You open your eyes
In order to see
You open your mouth
In order to speak
You open your hands
In order to touch
You open your ears
In order to hear
But Little Bird, tell me
What do I open
In order to feel?

There's a mix of innocence and dreamy ponderings when lost in thoughts here. It's a good question asked at the end!The bird provides a nice little setting and scene for the poem...I'm imagining woods and fairytales and a want for an escape back to more irresponsible times when we didn't have to think so deeply or profoundly!

Once again, so simplistic and to the point. So beautiful. I like the way you don't cloud your writing with vague references and just tell the reader what you want or feel. The ending is so powerful.
