More of prose than poem but more of poem than story. Huh.
I love the rain and the way it feels when you dance around in it.
I love how my brother eats everything with his face, his WHOLE face.
I love the way the sun filters down through the clouds in the morning.
I love how my puppy continually forgets where his food bowl is and runs into the wall in his searching... Every single day.
I love how my other puppy eats it all up before he even finds it.
I love four-year-old boys who like giving mudpies to their sisters and shiny little scraps of garbage to their mommies.
I love how by the time they find their mommies they've lost them, and she never even knows.
I love little girls who are nearly moved to tears each time you give them something, even if it is only a shiny little scrap of garbage or a candy wrapper you've asked her to throw away.
I love the naiivety and the child-like faith and the innocence we once had.
I love being a confidante as well as a confider.
I love how a song can change my entire mood in the expanse of only a few seconds.
I love how my mother will always cry when I do.
I love how my father will never be able to talk about his emotions but will always try.
I love how my sister has two completely different sides--both of which I adore.
I love boyfriends who love me back and girlfriends that I can tell anything to.
I love being totally exempt from the girl-code because someone broke my heart.
I love how I my best friend can tell what store my new clothes are from by smelling them.
I love how we have funerals for fish and weddings for kitties.
I love school and church and my family and my friends and my music and my art...
But most of all... I love my life, my world, all of it.
I love THIS.
Everything about it... And ya know what I love? I wouldn't change it for anything
I love it you know exactly what you have, you don't take any of it for granted and you love it all. It's hard to find people like that so I congratulate you. I congratulate you for this poem and the amazing things in your life that inspired it. Such a brilliant write!!!!
I love your poem. Some abitious reviewer will probably write a book
on this poem. It is sweet, full of the blossoms of youth. It is Dreamy
in a most innocent, youthful manner. It is busting with talent and wisdom.
I rocks !
this is brilliant. strikingly true. even when it feels like your world is about to come crashing down you just have to remember the little things. because its the little things that make all the difference. i cant wait to read more of your work
:)
