 The untimely and serious USA Western Drought of 2021 
Dry lands and hot winds, people looking back upon the day the rains stopped.
The people of the American West have a spirit that even an extended drought cannot quench.

The combination of dry land and hot winds makes me think of how easily fire would be able to spread. The combination deadly. Harsh conditions, crops suffering, and dust. I imagine dust clouds, choking the air. Your Haiku Watercress has given me plenty of imagery. Anyone living with those possibilities would certainly need strength and resolve to cope with problems of that magnitufe. Thank you for sharing.

With everything the US West has been through already thus year, the drought will be the foremost concern as it is the driver of all that you mention in your sincere comments and concern.
