'Dour'

A haiku in English to the unsmiling people and anxiety during this Corona virus pandemic.

She smiled today,

somewhat out of character.

She always seems sad.

* 'Dour' is a Scottish word for an unsmiling person.

You are so right about the increase in anxiety levels. I thought I was handling things so well until I had to drive out of my immediate vicinity. I approached the motorway with its numerous exits and almost went into a panic. Loss of confidence through months of being indoors. It is also affecting my 20 and 22 year old grandchildren who live with me. We are all becoming more anxious about little things. Being aware of what is happening and talking about it helps. Very topical. Sad when the smiley faces are few and far between.
