The World In One HandA Poem by Princess
People change it’s just a fact They let pasts go that wont come back. Thirty year olds live in their parents home They have no job, no motivation known To help that fact and find their track And desperate is the teen with the broken home. She died. Socially acceptable has become cheating This same person goes home for beatings Because her husband is gone and she has settled The newborn kids make her more nettled. Lost of found with scars on his side Another man’s tears he can’t even hide. They lied. Heroes grow and die each day And torn apart is the child who prayed Wondering if they’d be like them sometime. Then once the admirers thinks everything’s fine They come to learn unwanted things Like drugs, alcohol, and teenage flings. And cried. Violence is always the answer now To bad marriage and girls who don’t know how To take care of the child they just conceived Because despite what they’re told they’ll still believe That they’re wonderful parents in every way As they’re children suffer day by day. No guide. Nobody likes to be told what to do They’ll go their own way without a clue That what goes on is their fault as well But to a teenager, that rings no bell. Addictions confiscate the romantics eyes And slowly, that’s what makes their souls die. Brain fried. Forget and forget all the time And remembering that fine never really means fine Confusion and lost do you know where your going? Do you know what it’ll look like When you find it or will you always wonder: Who am I? Slow sighs More pride. I tried. © 2009 PrincessReviews
