"By The Light Of A Burning Bridge"

No need for explanation..

I am a stronger person now, yet still possess the same weaknesses.

I have the same views, and opinions; only more defined, matured.

 

I am not the sun goddess or the size two you remember.

I still have the same passions, wants, and needs.  That has not changed, if anything

they are now more a part of my soul than ever before.

 

I understand things that were oblivious to me before.  I understand you.

You understand me..  you were the only man that ever truly got me!  No one ever made

me laugh the way you did, or has since. 

 

We were friends first, then lovers;  talking all night at my kitchen table about anything,

everything..  holding each other while sleeping.  Creating a bond which is stronger than

any web a spider could weave. 

 

You say I am in your thoughts every day, and you in mine.  You say we could grow old

together;  I already start dreaming of those days..  projecting. 

Could we love again as we once did years ago, or is it true you can't go back in time?

I wouldn't want to believe that true; I was yours, and you were mine..
