A few explanations:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
bulbul.....a medium-sized songbird found in tropical Africa and Asia
rath-ki-rani... literally "Queen of the night". The White blossoms of this tree only open up in the night.
ghazal ...traditional Urdu love poem/song
dhoop... incense
chawkidar ... a watchman, usually hired by the residents of a block to patrol their streets at night; to prove that he is on watch, he raps along the fences with his long wooden stick and keeps blowing a whistle throughout the night. At first, it drives you nuts when you´re trying to go to sleep... but after a while I found it was like a lullaby and actually woke when it stopped.
