The Vow

A friend of mine kinda cheated on his wedding vows and had me write them. I think this is pretty damn good.

Katie, from the time we met, I loved you. Through the trials and tribulations, you were there for me. You supported me when no one else would. You gave me strength, even when you had none to spare. You fought alongside me, even when you had your own battles.

You are my heart. You are the half of me that I wish I was. You embody that which I wish I could show. You are the love of my life. I never thought that I’d be happy, but you proved me wrong. You are the reason I can keep going. You are my strength when I falter.

I want you to know that I love you. That I will never leave your side, no matter what the years may bring. I will protect you with my dying breath, and I will be there the moment you call. You will always have my heart and you will always be the one for me. I don’t know why God saw fit to place you in my life, but I thank Him whole-heartedly for sending such an angel into my life. I love you, and I am honored to call you my wife.
