Melodies of Night

Melodies of Night

A Poem by Thanatos Darkraven

From the silence of the night

A single sound emerges from the darkness.

Stop. Listen. Can you hear it?

Can you hear the souls floating on air?

Can you hear the gentle melody of th Earth?

Can you see the graceful dance of the Wind?

Listen to the stories of the trees.

Listen to the tales of times gone by.

Close your eyes and forget your pain.

Let the world melt away as I hold you in my arms.

Hear the sweet rhythm of my heartbeat.

Let it lull away the cares of this life.

Listen to the music of the rain

As it beats on the windows of your heart

Hear the sound of the flowers blooming

Like thoughts of a clear summer day.

Let my love guide you to a paradise

Where we can stay eternally.

I'm going to try to say what this puts into my mind. It's as if you've combined nature and love into one being and were able to make it speak to the reader, or in this case, me, in an all too real fashion. I know how the poem affects me but I'm also curious to know how you would translate it (as the author) and how others would (as... others.)
