Wings Part I: These Wings of Gold

Wings Part I: These Wings of Gold

A Poem by Aurora Silverheart
"

An entry for a contest. Enjoy!

"

I soar upon these golden wings

With no regard for rules or laws

Of earth

No worry posesses me

No pain

Nor distress

Just happiness

and the feeling of freedom

I soar upon these golden wings

I float on wings of bliss

Thro' the night

Of blackened day

Of shining stars

So distant yet so close

No sound besides the gentle beating of my wings

I float on a pair of golden wings

I flash through the sky with glorious wings

Made of threads of sunbeams

Woven by light

So soft to the touch

Feathers of gold

So wondrous, So beautiful

I flash throught the sky with glorious wings
