Dream Slot MachineA Poem by argentum lumenHaving a dream, It's a mental slot machine.
The slots are memories, And sights and sounds.
They keeping turning 'round, Till a dream is found And if it's a bust? You're asleep and can't make a fuss.
You dream on 'cause you have to. You have no say. Like a gamble it's hard to walk away.
Sometimes you go bankrupt and get no dreams at all, Or hit jackpot and wake up while you're still enthralled. © 2012 argentum lumenAuthor's Note
