Spellbound

Spellbound

A Poem by argentum lumen

Piercing eyes hold me down.
By memories I was bound,
To the blood stained ground.
Until I was found.

A ram of betrayal discovered me,
He promised to set me free,
But just added chains to my wrist.

I broke the chains and thought I was free,
Until an archer found me.

He bound me with an arrow.
He filled me with sorrow.

By both of them I am cursed,
With an unquenched thirst,
To always approach happiness with a fist.

Spellbound by bittersweet memories...

This one of my fave poems you have written... What I get out of it is it seems as if you have the controlling person who you want to break away from then the one who broke your heart and then from it all you learn to find the balance somehow... but I love the wording and how it flows so elegantly. It really drew me in and it s a most beautiful poem....
