A Midsummer Day's PeachA Poem by ~Sorcha~for a contest, to be infatuated with a piece of fruit and to woo said fruit
Ah, sweetness that doth lie 'neath thy fuzzy skin!
I spied thee upon the bow o' yonder branch, Hidden betwixt thine own Mother's leaves; But why doth thou torment me so! T'is you I so desperately yearn for, Yet t'is you who remains ever from my grasp, Upon yonder bow so high, Glistening amongst sunlight's last ray... Sweet Peach, dancing so close, T'is but a paltry hope o' mine. Alas, t'is days last lights and night anew, For with tomorrow's rise, you shan't be here Mine eyes do lust for thee, My body longs for thee, But thine beauty shan't ever be mine. I shall never forget thine ripened beauty Farewell mine sweetness, Farewell o' wondrous peach Farewell.... © 2013 ~Sorcha~ |

There are so many things in my life I could write about, but I can still never seem to find the words for any of it. .. more..Writing
