FAREWELL TO MY LOVE

Even though our intimate relationship shall come to an end,

I will never forget how much you are valued to me as a friend.

 

Many things we have been through,

you advising me and me advising you.

 

The final chapter of our relationship draws near,

I can no longer approach it with fear.

 

If I wait any longer it will hurt even more for the two of us,

despite my objection  to break up with you, I must.

 

There is no other way,

today is filled with sorrow, but tomorrow is a new day.
