PRIZED POSSESION

PRIZED POSSESION

A Poem by Allen Christopher Harding

I have a diamond that is not found in mines,

a diamond that is one of the rarest finds.

More treasured than any physical item that one may own,

this diamond bears a value far surpassing the grandest home.

More treasured than any riches found in the past,

a relationship with a solid foundation one that will last.

I have a diamond that by me will never be sold,

for this treasure will be with me to the days I grow old.
