![]() The Tunnel of AngelsA Poem by Justin Tobey![]() I was once asked what my three wishes would be if I had them. I replied, "Everlasting youth, flight, and a giant tower with every book imaginable." This is still my wish.![]() The tunnel stretches Up and down As far as the eyes can see. Lining the countless, infinite walls Are books.
Every book That ever existed, exists, or will. Gravity is lacking here, So I float through book After book.
No lanterns, Or any forms of light. Yet there is always enough To read a good book In the tunnel.
Readers Are gifted with youth, So they read through everything And gain limitless knowledge and wisdom To spread to others.
They Are messengers of light wisdom. Winged and radiant, they fly Under the ancient guise Of angels. © 2008 Justin TobeyAuthor's Note
