The Northern LightsA Poem by Justin TobeyA description of the northern lights, one of my many artistic inspirations. The Northern Lights. They glow eerily, Ebbing and flowing like the tide itself, Reminding us that the path to the heavens Can be found on earth.
Radiant emeralds, sapphires, and rubies Sweep across the sky like ribbons of light, Smoke, fire, star, and water, They drift across the sky, Sometimes wild, sometimes calm.
Inspiring myth and legend, They have awed us since the beginning. The constant rise and fall reflect life And what life stands for, love. Their grace and beauty astound all who see them.
They spread their dazzling auras In cold, distant lands. Their grace fills the deepest places With a unique light, the gift of the universe To give hope and radiance to the darkest of lands. © 2008 Justin TobeyFeatured Review
