Force

Force

A Poem by Silver~

Force

When I was in science class,
I learned about force on an object.
That gravity is the force pushing down
while surface force pushes up.

I learned that sometimes
when surface force isn't strong enough,
gravity will take over
and push the object down.

I like to believe you were my surface force,
pushing me up.
Helping me stay afloat when all signs said
Abandon Ship.

That you were the one shouting "I do"
when the voices in my head
whispered
"Nobody Cares."

That you used all your energy
pushing gravity away for just a bit longer.

But gravity kept pushing me down.

and I guess even your force wasn't strong enough
because you left
and I fell
Down and down and down and down and-
