Showtime

A Poem by Silver~
"

I wrote this during English class because why not? It's open to whoever would like to read! Please critique and tell me what you like and what you don't - Thank you!

 Showtime

The curtains are drawn so cue the applause
another completed show
Our broken family is hidden behind smiles
so realistic no one would know

The costumes are gone to reveal the scars
left across my skin
The masks are all cracked to reveal the lies
that we're forced to hide within

Because broken is wrong, you must stay strong
what a stupid expectation
I'm tired of rules that must be followed
in this far from perfect civilization.
