Never Be

Never Be

A Poem by Niya Moon

A whisper of silence

Death of violence

We look and we see

The things that can

Never be.

Kindness to the

Homeless

Pity for the

Witless

Laughter for

Sickness

And Shame for

Ignorance.

We want the world

To be perfect and neat,

Full of wonder,

And Mystery,

We look and we see

The things that can

Never be.

Yes,

We look and we see

The things that can

Never be.
