Silence Always Sparks a Conversation

Silence Always Sparks a Conversation

A Poem by Silky

I’m alone in this thought
And I can’t get it off
Of my chest
Let alone spark it
Start a conversation
With myself
But the outside
Ain’t buying in
To these trends
Of populace
And decay
What makes you say
That things will be
Better
When I can’t even
Stammer
Through a solution
To the delusion
Of my speech
Impediment
The soil is now
Sediment
Painting pictures
Of the past
That we can look
Better than
And yet
I never set out
To be someone
Relevant
That’s a lie
I’ve always been
Heaven sent
If I could just
Make sense
With these gifts
Perhaps it would
Lift
These thoughts
That I can’t get off
Of my chest.
