Collected Inconsistency

Collected Inconsistency

A Poem by Silky

Quiet and focused
Trying to see beyond
This moment
Trying to believe myself
To be
An exponent
To the highest power
Instead of cowering
Into apathy
Cause I got some things
But s**t
These cents
Turn to dollars
Only when
I’m wearing this collar
Coated and caked
With fake problems
Now, if you read my mind
It speaks volumes
Of solitude
Stuck with myself
And nothing to lose
My empty head is racing
Like echos in an amphitheater
Refracting and replacing
The sounds I thought I knew
And at this amplitude
I might just lose
it.
