Stigmater

Stigmater

A Poem by C.R.Turner
"

Woman in pain

"
Stigmater -
poisoned mother.
Bleeding love,
they took your child.

Joan of Arc,
tortured soul -
haunted, hunted, burned.

They split your love,
prised you inside out -
blood and teeth on the outside,
writhing, cursing,
spitting, hexing.
Agony.

Your beautiful child stolen from you -
your inner peace and beauty
hooked and hung out
like dead rat.

They crushed and broke you
with immeasurable pressure.
A mangled flower,
petals fractured and frozen.
Heart cold,
with the sadness of a damp cell.

Your beauty is missed by most,
drowned in their shallow lives,
recoiling in your screams,
they cry 'Banshee'!

I say 'She'.

A Beautiful Woman -
a Wonderful Love denied -
and my friend.
