Something For You

Something For You

A Poem by C.R.Turner

From the flowerfields of my heart,
the fresh, Morningtown meadows,
and the silver cascading beauty of my soul,
I have something very special for you.

A warm smile.

This brightest, truest smile is for YOU, dear reader.

Searing sunbeams of whitegold,
loving heat energy,
and joy
for you.

I share this in the hope
that you may feel its warm pressure
feeding your skin -
invigorating,
revitalising
and comforting.

I share this in the hope
that its momentary flash
may light up your dark path -
just enough,
to show you the way forward.

But remember,
this is neither a gift
nor yours to keep.

Use it and pass it on
to someone who needs it.
For this is how things work around here.

My smile
is your smile,

is my smile. x

I do love this C.R.! We should always strive to uplift the spirits of another, be it with a smile, an act of kindness, or thru understanding. This has made my day a little brighter, and my heart less frigid on a cold and snowy morn.
