Dragon I Be

Dragon I Be

A Poem by silfrstjrana
"

A Dragon tale of himself

"

Here i am, dragon i be

Hoarding gold and every jewel i see.

I guard my hoard

with jealous jealousy.

I will never let anyone take it from me.

My weapons be ready;

my teeth and claws ground sharp

Any fight against me is short lived

my adamantine armour keeping me safe from mortals

my hellish breath also keeping them on their toes

My home be where there be no mortals or few

bones litter the the ground near my cave

remains of foolish fools i slew

and now in death all they know

is bittersweet cold eternity

All i desire is be left alone

but mere mortals still whine

when i take a cow or three

their feeble protests mean nothing to me

Amoured monarch of open skies i be

mans dream of flight is my realty

spreading my wings, i soar

Dragon I be, hear me roar
