Ragged Leaves A' BlowingA Poem by silfrstjranapeople without homes fluttering about townDo you see ragged
leaves a’ blowing? See how they
flitter-flutter From one place To another Found inside subways, Found inside doorways But never still, always
on the move; Eyes open for crowds
ripe for picking Do you hear them When you’re out and
about? When they ask for spare
change; Do you dig deep? Or hurry by without a
peep? Do you feel their eyes
on you? Sending you a message In bitter pain-filled
eyes Making you doubt However much you strive
to do There’s not much you
can do And that may be true But in the end How much you do is up
to you © 2013 silfrstjranaAuthor's Note
