Glitter Delve Gold 2A Poem by silfrstjranaA dwarf confunded, robbed of his swagger and wondering how close he is to deathHigh King Eloin of Dreal
here Who do I tell? My ears still be
ringing with deaths knell Apoligies surge to my
lips as I figure out how to sell This information if
circumstances treat me well. Which dosent look good The sinister glint from
silent elfs eye Being my tell A jewel-bedazzled
alights on me shoulder While my ears be numb
with background banter And my beard be limp
with no swagger My fear fades away As the king whispers in
my ear But instead my heart
stops; Stopped dead by the
news I hear I slump back in my
chair, Me mind a blank Knowing this is one for
the bank Not knowing who to
thank Or who to kill That swill-swigging,
hunchback twank Who told me my parents
died in Diredank. The truth is there Plain in the kings eyes Telling me that the
tale of my parents demise Is not real Instead total lies My hope that this a
dream dies As he lifts his right
hand And reveals to my eyes A silver birthmark like
a shining silverdrake It being an exact twin
to mine © 2013 silfrstjranaAuthor's Note
