vikings creedA Poem by silfrstjrana'a creed sung by vikings as they go into battle'A Viking by blood, I am My father before me, His own before him. I cannot be slain, Not by any man. With my axe I send them
on To Hels realm of dark
and dim By Thor’s hammer we are
so strongly forged, That our enemies know
they shall be put to the sword. The roar of battle and
the wounded cries, Sounds to accompany my
sword cleaving bone. Hardened by Ymir’s
unrelenting breath, We sail our
dragon-crested vessel of death, We being brother &
sister of Anglo Sax, Best friend to us being
our trusted axe. Hear our name in empty
echoes; In roaring fires we
leave in our wake. We declare a simple
rule; suffer no liar Unburdened by fear that
in battle we might fall, Because if that be our
fate that day We will feast evermore In Great Odin’s Hall. © 2013 silfrstjranaAuthor's Note
