Seeking Stillness

Seeking Stillness

A Poem by Lynda Driscoll
"

Life is too busy. There is a time when seeking stillness can be very beneficial with connecting to your true inner self and the universe.

Seeking Stillness

I can not say…..

I do not know…

I scarce can breath,

or word bestow.

In silence, inner stillness flow.

No movement make.

No place to go.

No thing to seek,

No path to find,

a stream of thought

I leave behind.

And anchor to this island make

nothing to give, nothing to take.

Yet still in body and in mind

an endless presence do I find.

Enlivened by it’s amber glow

forces within  commence to grow.

They animate the stillness more.

No interest  beckons me to shore.

So here am I, and here at last

a bond is weakened with the past.

And forged within the silent light

a link connecting  me  fast tight

to peace that stills the angst  within

and sees an inner light  begin

uniting  with the soul of  me

that leads into eternity.
