A very emotional war poem about the pledge that all men and women in uniform take to not rest until the rest of the world can rest without the fear of Terror. Please leave comments and feedback thanks

“Until the Rest of the World can Rest without Fear”

There is a field in Flanders filled with blood-stained flowers to mark our final waking hours. They stand strong and true, forever keeping guard of our rite of passage. They hold our message home and bear our promise inscribed on a naked stone, to never rest until the rest of the world can rest without fear of Terror.

It is true you may never know my name and I will never claim any fame, but I will fight from the Frontline and defend what is mine! I will walk through this unfathomable, unspeakable Horror because I am a Canadian Warrior!

No I am not immune to the gore and I f*****g hate this War, but I will push forward because I know just what I am fighting for. Yes, I am told I can leave this Battleground, but I cannot breathe until every innocent child is found safe and sound. Although the fear could never be any more clear then it is right here, and despite there being bullets flying from everywhere, I will not dare rest until the rest of the world can rest without the fear of Terror.

Those who know me well will know that I will be the bearer of my Brother’s and Sister’s who take that Fall, for when I hear that call I will never stall, even with our backs against the wall we will all stand tall.

Though we can’t sleep nor eat and all we see is the look of death on civilian and Warrior faces, and think of how all these places were once so beautiful, but through these nightmares have become so damn brutal. Hard it is to be subtle when we shall never rest until the rest of the world can rest without fear of Terror.
