This format is what is called a Diamond Poem, my english teacher dug up abunch of random formats for our poetry section of Creative Writing. A Bit complex to get at first, but becomes easier once you realize the pattern.

Celebrated, Turbulent

Growing, Changing, Evolving

Youth, Life, Cadaver, Death

Scaring, Decaying, Claiming

Cold, Empty

Death

Ah yes. Diamonds. Some of the more technical of poetry, but still fun to write.
The only thing that sticks, what seems to be out of place to me, is when you double use the words "life" and "death." Other than that, it seems to follow the pattern perfectly.
